The front page of this issue is covering, what appears to be, the return to earth of the 3 cosmonauts of the Soyuz T-7 mission. Left to right: Popov, Serebrov and Savitskaya. Savitskaya was the USSR’s second female Cosmonaut , she was born on the 8th of August 1948 in Moscow. Savitskaya was also twice awarded the “Hero of the Soviet Union” award, she retired from the Russian Air Force as a Major in 1993. Savitskaya is now a member of the State Duma for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
